Radiation exposure here exceeded 700 microroentgens when I took this picture August 2005. When I went back in November, levels had climbed to 5 milliroentgen. That's because radionuclides don't sit still but move around in the environment. Perhaps a gust of wind carried radioactive dust from the contaminated trash awaiting burial in Burakivka.
